Are You In Compliance?

In addition to state sales taxes, local and district sales taxes may also be imposed.
The rates are always changing and it is your responsibility to stay up to date.
What is Taxable?

- Types of shipping and handling
- and much more!
Laws Have Changed
On June 21, 2018 the Supreme Court ruled against wayfair and determined that a seller no longer needs to have a physical presence in the state to collect and remit sales tax.
Now, online “Internet” retailers must collect and remit sales tax.
States/localities can now impose sales taxes, penalties, and interest.
With all of the budget crises the pandemic has brought this past year, these states and localities will be looking to collect your money.
Penalties / Fines / Interest
Failure to accurately collect and remit sales taxes come with harsh penalties and in some cases jail time.
States/localities can go back and impose penalties and interest retroactively.
Often times the penalties and interest exceed the actual tax liability.
